While the bookstore didn't have a UFO club meeting every week, it did have pretty decent coffee.

Mulder had made an effort to scope out the local fare, and settled on a place that was quiet but encouraged conversation. He figured a place of comfort, of good smells and calm atmosphere, would ease Father Ward into letting down his guard a little. The agent waited patiently, sitting on the hood of his car while he kept a vigilant eye out for the man in question. Sunflower seeds kept his mouth and his hands busy, holding his budding anxiousness at bay.

At 08:00 on Monday morning, a knock came to the door.

Upon opening it, Lisa Pearson was greeted with a single FBI agent, holding out his badge for her to see.

"Good morning, Ms. Pearson. I'm Special Agent Fox Mulder with the FBI." He then flipped his badge closed, tucking it back into his suit jacket, "If you have the time I'd like to ask you some questions."

While having Scully by his side would have been beneficial, he felt that after the events of the day before it was better that she got ample rest. For the first time since they got there, Scully had slept soundly. It wasn't lost on him that the moment they left the Martin house, she seemed to be more at ease. That would be something they would have to investigate into more later.
